**BIM Coordinator****Cambuslang or Blantyre****Salary up to £46,000 per annum per annum plus excellent benefits****Flexible Hybrid Working****Closing Date: 12 October 2025*****Help us create a better future, quicker***With plans to see SP Energy Networks (SPEN), part of the ScottishPower Group, look to invest over £5bn in transmission projects across our transmission network in central and southern Scotland by 2030, the Strategic Project team will play a key role in supporting SPEN to work at pace to deliver the transmission network that is required to support ambitions Scottish and UK Government 2030 targets.SPEN are currently recruiting a BIM Coordinator to enable the business and strategic projects to implement BIM processes and technologies for the design and construction of SPT\’s infrastructure. The BIM Coordinators will drive the implementation of processes and technologies through the life cycle of projects ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO 19650 and internal and external procedures. This will enable SPT and contractors exchange information accurately and securely utilising common data environment and cloud technologies.This role involves managing internal and external interfaces including EPC contractors and OEMs.***What you’ll be doing***As a BIM Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with project managers, overseeing multiple strategic projects and championing our internal BIM procedures and central processes.You will be at the forefront of BIM and Digital Design practices, driving continual improvement and pushing boundaries to make a tangible difference in the success of our projects, ensuring high-quality standards are met and exceeded.You will also assist project teams to meet client, business and industry requirements. This will include:* Working closely with the BIM Manager to manage and Coordinate BIM Standards: Develop, implement, and enforce ISO 19650 standards and protocols on projects.* BIM Documentation and Workflow: Create and maintain project facing BIM documentation from organisational templates and workflow processes to ensure consistency and compliance.* Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to project teams on software and tools, including Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) modules.* Project Setup and Coordination: Assist in BIM project setup and coordinate with contractor project teams to ensure proper implementation.* Model Review and Management: Review and manage BIM model data for conformance with client requirements.* BIM Meetings: Participate in BIM meetings along with BIM Manager & Lead appointed parties to resolve issues and streamline processes.* Team Support: Support BIM Managers on managing various tasks on multiple projects within strategic portfolio.* Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits as needed to support Lead Appointed Parties, ensuring smooth execution of design intent. Provide on-site assistance to the project team for model coordination, design validation, and identify potential blockers on design-related issues during construction.***What you’ll bring**** Recognised qualification in architecture, Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.* Experience in a Design, Digital or BIM-related role within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry.* Experience with BIM standards, particularly ISO 19650.* Demonstrable experience with Model validation and Data validation.* Proficiency in digital tools such as Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Solibri, Revizto, or similar.* Experience working with COBie (Construction-Operations Building information exchange) and IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) data formats.* Experience working with common data environments (CDEs) such as Viewpoint for Projects or similar.* Familiarity with BIM Information requirements documents such as EIR, PIR, AIR & OIR* Experience in working on either General contractor or Client-side role.* Clear, concise communication with clients, colleagues and subcontractors.***What’s in it for you***As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
