We are currently seeking an experienced Application Consultant to play a key role in shaping and delivering a forward-thinking Digitalisation Strategy within a large, complex organisation. This is an opportunity to operate within a Transformation Value Stream, where you will influence application design decisions that balance both local business needs and global architectural standards.

What you’ll be doing

In this position, you will take ownership of translating strategy into practical, scalable solutions. Working closely with Transformation Architecture and Strategy teams, you will define robust application designs and ensure alignment across programmes. You will also lead and develop a small team of Application Analysts and Administrators, providing clear direction, mentoring, and support to enable successful delivery and ongoing optimisation of solutions. A central aspect of the role involves engaging with business stakeholders and external partners to capture requirements, evaluate solution options, and recommend the most effective technical approaches. You will assess third-party proposals, validate cost models, and contribute to early-stage project scoping, feasibility analysis, and business case development. Your ability to bridge technical complexity with business priorities will be key to success. You will play a vital role across the full project lifecycle, from decomposing large initiatives into manageable workstreams to defining testing strategies for complex, integrated systems. Alongside delivery, you will contribute to the continuous evolution of frameworks, templates, and models that support consistent implementation of business requirements across the function. This role offers significant scope to work with modern technologies, including data analytics platforms, customer-focused digital solutions, and emerging innovations. You will collaborate with global teams and external vendors to identify and implement technologies that align with long-term business objectives while maintaining up-to-date expertise in your specialist areas.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for a candidate with strong experience in application design and delivery within large-scale or global environments, ideally with advanced knowledge of Salesforce and a proven ability to work with external partners. You should be confident analysing complex challenges, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and managing multiple priorities across a dynamic delivery landscape. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative, matrix-led environment and is motivated by driving meaningful transformation. In return, you will have the chance to influence strategic direction, lead high-impact projects, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of a global digital ecosystem.

What’s in it for you

As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%. At ScottishPower, we believe it’s the little things we do in life that make a big difference. From helping you look after your family’s wellbeing, save for your future and take personal steps for climate action – our benefits are designed to help you do just that - so that you have everything you need to take care of your world – today and tomorrow. That’s why our benefits include:

  • 36 days annual leave
  • Holiday purchase – perfect your work/life balance with extra annual leave
  • Share Incentive Plan and Sharesave Scheme
  • Payroll giving and charity matched funding
  • Technology Vouchers – save more and spread the cost of your technology purchases
  • Count us in – pledge to reduce carbon emissions and help fight climate change
  • Electric Vehicle Schemes – to help you transition to green/clean driving
  • Cycle to Work scheme and public transport season ticket loans
  • Options to purchase dental insurance, private medical insurance, health cash plan and annual health assessments
  • Life Assurance (4x salary)
  • Access to ‘nudge’ financial wellbeing support
  • Plus shopping, leisure, restaurant and gym discounts, and unique employee deals on travel insurance and more
