Role The position of PMO Manager sits within the SP Energy Networks P&T Directorate reporting to the Commercial & Performance Manager The PMO Manager is responsible for managing all finance related activities across Process & Technology, collaborating with and supporting the P&T teams in setting and achieving financial targets and ensure reporting is robust, accurate and timely What you will be doing Foster positive and collaborative relationships with internal P&T teams and wider SPEN and Corporate teams such as Cyber Security, Control, Procurement, NP&R, BT and the license areas Ensure P&T has the correct finance and programme output recording and reporting frameworks in place to comply with internal and Regulatory requirements Lead the annual and quarterly planning cycles to develop bottom up finance and output forecasts Engage, influence and challenge workstream leads to ensure that forecasts are underpinned by achievable plans and that risks are clearly identified and communicated Lead the preparation and coordination of presentations and reports for senior management, directors, and external stakeholders. Co-ordinate the RRP across P&T, ensuring accurate and timely reporting and narrative completion and that DAG processes are adhered to Coaching and training C&P and wider P&T teams on purchasing processes and systems such as SAP and iBuy Establish, maintain and deploy a P&T stakeholder plan and RACI matrix for financial processes and reporting Support adherence to PAM process and development of robust Investment Papers Identify opportunities to improve value and efficiency and influence others to take ownership of efficiency plans and actions What you will bring Good understanding of finance and purchasing processes and the Regulatory landscape Excellent track record in Stakeholder Engagement and communicating at a senior level – with an ability able to bring people with differing agendas onboard to work collaboratively together Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively. Strong leadership skills with ability to coach and develop others High level of IT literacy including knowledge of MSPE, MS Office (including Excel) and SAP To be successful, as a minimum you will demonstrate: Degree in business or financial discipline or equivalent work experience Significant experience managing programmes in a dynamic environment Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, able to communicate effectively across all org levels up to senior exec Sound understanding of financial principles, SAP financials and RIIO allowance mechanisms Flexible and ability to work on own initiative Excellent communicator and leader of people, Previous experience managing multi-disciplinary teams Proven ability to understand complex data sets and provide insights and recommendations in a concise and meaningful way What’s in it for you As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
