People Processing Team Member

As a People Processing Team Member, you will be responsible for providing an effective, efficient and professional people administration service throughout the full employee lifecycle via various contact channels to all employees across the ScottishPower UK Business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Deliver a professional and consistent administration service covering the employee lifecycle to customers, both internal and external, using various people systems (Workday, My Hub, SAP, Oracle) and people processes and procedures effectively in line with agreed service levels and ensuring compliance with all Company and Regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Act as an expert in specified process areas and ensure that all processes and transactions are completed in an accurate and timely manner in line with the agreed SLAs/KPIs as defined for each process/transaction and cross checking work within the team where required.
  • Respond to all enquiries and undertake all rota activities in line with agreed service level standards.
  • Adopt a flexible approach to job content with a view to developing skills and knowledge to undertake a range of task requirements within the team.
  • Monitor and resolve any service delivery/quality issues that are impacting on the delivery of agreed service levels or quality. To be able to handle complaints and escalate as appropriate.
  • Continually strive to improve the quality of service provided and take an active role in contributing to the continuous improvement processes and to follow through any changes to processes and transactions to agreed standards and times scales
  • Produce statistical information within remit of the team, analyse the data and report back to the Business/People Teams highlighting key trends or issues e.g. process adherence.
  • Be part of projects groups set up to deliver the business operating plans as and when required.
  • Develop and maintain an up to date and detailed knowledge of Company people policies, procedures and processes, providing feedback to support the identification of common issues and the development of potential improvements.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across the wider GBS UK and P&O functions.
  • Fully embrace new and existing technology, identifying and suggesting improvements to team processes and ways of working to harness this as much as possible.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong customer focus, with experience of working in a Customer Service environment.
  • Previous experience in a customer facing role and/or P&O environment
  • Experience of working in a high-volume transaction processing environment and working to targets (SLAs) and deadlines
  • Strong time management and organisational skills including ability to prioritise and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Various Systems, (Workday, My Hub, SAP, Oracle) would be an advantage
  • Knowledge and understanding of ScottishPower people policies, procedures and processes
  • Ability to work on own initiative but also be a strong team player providing flexibility in the model
  • Strong telephone skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An ability to analyse and report on data
  • Ability to adapt to changing policies, processes and ways of working with a positive attitude identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Focus on process, detail and quality
  • Experience in a People Administration role is desirable
  • Good understanding of the P&O Model

Minimum Criteria

  • Strong PC skills including working knowledge of MS office applications
  • Strong customer focus, with experience of working in a customer facing role and/or P&O environment
  • Strong time management and organisational skills including ability to prioritise and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of People Policy, Procedure and Process
