ScottishPower is looking for experienced Technical Business Analysts to join our Customer Business Centre of Excellence, playing a key role in shaping and improving the technology that underpins our customer operations. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, focused on delivering high-impact solutions that enhance system performance, reliability and customer experience across critical platforms.
What you’ll be doing
- You will translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical solutions, working across the full delivery lifecycle from early analysis and solution design through to implementation and continuous improvement.
- This includes driving system enhancements, technical upgrades and cloud-based initiatives, with exposure to platforms such as SAP and telecoms technologies.
- Collaboration is central to the role. You will work closely with developers, architects, business stakeholders and third-party vendors to ensure solutions are aligned to business goals and delivered to a high standard.
- You will also prioritise work based on business value, risk and customer impact.
- A key responsibility will be analysing and improving system performance. You will identify root causes of issues and work with delivery teams to implement fixes that improve stability and reliability.
- You will also contribute to system security through active involvement in vulnerability management and remediation activities.
What you’ll bring
- We are looking for individuals with proven experience in a Technical Business Analyst or similar role within complex IT environments.
- You will be confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and concise way.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset are essential.
- Experience working in Agile environments is important.
- Knowledge of technologies such as APIs, AWS, SAP, telecoms platforms, SQL, Oracle databases or Java will be highly beneficial, but not essential.
