We're looking for a commercially minded Project Manager to identify, assess and secure new renewable energy opportunities across the UK and Republic of Ireland. This is a highly visible role at the front end of our development pipeline, where you'll play a critical part in finding and securing the sites that become tomorrow's renewable energy projects.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You'll take ownership of identifying and securing new development opportunities that support ScottishPower Renewables' ambitious growth plans.
  • Working with internal specialists, landowners, consultants and external partners, you'll lead projects from initial site identification through to successful handover into development.
  • Identifying and assessing new renewable energy development opportunities across the UK and ROI.
  • Leading site searches and feasibility studies, including reviews of grid capacity, energy resource, access constraints and deliverability.
  • Negotiating and securing land rights, exclusivity agreements and commercial arrangements with landowners and their representatives.
  • Managing due diligence activities and preparing high-quality submissions for land tenders and acquisition opportunities.
  • Developing strategies that maximise value from both new and existing development opportunities.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure informed and robust decision-making.
  • Managing project reporting, performance tracking and governance requirements.
  • Supporting commercial strategy, process improvement initiatives and budget management across the Origination team.
  • Promoting a strong culture of health, safety and environmental responsibility.

What you’ll bring:

  • We're interested in people who combine strong commercial instincts with the ability to manage complex projects and build trusted relationships.
  • Experience in renewable energy development, land acquisition or land management, planning and development, property, infrastructure or utilities projects.
  • A strong understanding of site feasibility and development considerations.
  • Experience evaluating development opportunities and balancing risk and reward.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with landowners, consultants and key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
  • Confidence managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy land agreements and commercial structures.

Desirable:

  • Experience using GIS and spatial data tools.
  • Knowledge of onshore wind development.

Essential:

  • Full UK driving licence.

What’s in it for you:

  • As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
  • With our pension scheme, we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.

  • Healthcare benefit options including: Dental Insurance, Private Medical Insurance, Health Cash Plan and annual Health Assessments.
