What you’ll be doing

As a Construction Assistant, you will visit a variety of minor and major project works streams, liaising with customers and contractors to completion of works at customer’s premises as well as major construction sites supporting the businesses customer service responsibilities with enquiries and complaints. You’ll assist in the delivery of minor and major work volumes that are scheduled in a timely fashion as per targets, keeping customers fully informed throughout. The Construction Assistant role will work closely with a team of construction project managers /operational support team members to collectively manage delivery of projects, district hazards, complaints and general enquiries. This role is based in the Ayrshire & Clyde South district Kilmarnock office and reports to Head of Delivery.

  • Liaise with customers maintaining a high degree of care and professionalism to schedule works/appointments and provide customer updates.
  • Liaise with planned delivery teams over a variety of sites/works each day.
  • Work towards a zero-accident culture and lead by example.
  • Help maintain a safe and secure network.
  • Ensure project designs comply with Company and statutory requirements and update the business on required changes as they arise, working with the Project Management team.
  • Provide interface with contractors and internal businesses to assist in the delivery of projects.
  • Attendance at monthly team meetings.
