We’re currently seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Solution Architect to join our team, playing a pivotal role in shaping and delivering complex telecoms solutions across a dynamic and evolving environment.
What you’ll be doing
This position is centred on translating customer requirements into scalable, practical, and commercially viable technical solutions. As a Solution Architect, you will take ownership of end-to-end design, ensuring that each solution aligns with established standards while making the best possible use of existing services. You will act as a trusted technical authority, building strong relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders, and guiding them confidently toward successful outcomes. You will bring technical leadership and vision, balancing architectural best practice with pragmatic delivery. The role involves creating high-level designs, developing statements of work, and overseeing solution implementation to ensure quality, consistency, and long-term sustainability. Working closely with customers, you will refine requirements, provide subject matter expertise, and contribute to strategic direction, ensuring solutions are not only fit for purpose but also operationally and commercially sound. Collaboration is key, as you will engage with third-party vendors, internal delivery and operations teams, and wider business functions to support telecoms capabilities across the organisation. You will also play an active role in telecoms strategy, contract lifecycle management, and the ongoing development of design methodologies, standards, and processes.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone with a strong technical background, ideally supported by a degree in electrical, electronic, or telecommunications engineering, or equivalent experience. A solid understanding of telecoms and critical national infrastructure environments is important, alongside hands-on experience with technologies such as IP networking, MPLS, SDH/PDH, and various transmission methods including fibre, microwave, copper, and radio. Familiarity with network synchronisation, DC power systems, and unified communications platforms will also be highly valuable. Beyond technical expertise, you will be a confident communicator with the ability to influence, present, and build credibility at all levels. You’ll bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset, capable of working under pressure while delivering high-quality, cost-effective designs. A strong grasp of industry frameworks and best practices, such as ITIL or eTOM, combined with a willingness to continuously learn and adapt, will set you apart in this role. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Solution Architect to make a meaningful impact, contribute to critical infrastructure projects, and shape the future of telecoms solutions within a collaborative and supportive environment.
