Help us create a better future, quicker This role is pivotal in supporting accurate forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting related to Scottish Power Renewables land leases, enabling the business to make informed decisions and maintain strong relationships with landowners.

The Land & Estates Analyst will be responsible for processing payments in line with lease obligations and resolving any payment queries or issues.

  • What you’ll be doing
  • This role is responsible for managing Scottish Power Renewables landowner payments and lease-related financial activities, ensuring all payments are processed accurately and in line with lease obligations.
  • You will resolve payment queries, maintain comprehensive lease and payment records within corporate systems, and support lease renegotiations through timely and accurate financial administration.
  • Working closely with Land & Estates, Legal and Control teams, you will ensure the financial accuracy of lease agreements, payment schedules and contractual terms.
  • You will use financial systems, particularly SAP RE, to manage data, monitor transactions and support the effective administration of land lease portfolios.
  • You will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, supporting annual planning and quarterly reforecasting activities.
  • By tracking spend against budget, investigating variances and providing meaningful insights, you will help inform business decisions while identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and reporting efficiency.
  • What you’ll bring
  • Proven experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within property, land or estates sectors.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Understanding of lease agreements and payment structures.
  • Proficient use of excel and financial systems in particular SAP RE.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence at varying levels.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders internally and externally including landowners, land agents and other third parties.
  • Knowledge of land lease structures and terminology.
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively and work to tight deadlines.
