We are therefore responsible for providing safe, sufficient and compliant facilities to the Operational Businesses in a duty holder role.
There is a need to formally control all planned and reactive activities across the GSUK estate to ensure compliance with statute and operational efficiency. The Asset Planning Engineer role at Scottish Power’s Glasgow HQ focuses on managing and optimising the maintenance and compliance of the GSUK estate to ensure operational efficiency and statutory adherence. This position involves coordinating planned and reactive activities, overseeing asset lifecycle management, and working closely with multiple stakeholders and service providers. They will play a crucial role supporting the delivery of business objectives through the delivery of land rights, properties and the delivery of large-scale, multi-year investment plans totalling more than £350m across the ScottishPower estate ensuring it remains safe, sufficient and sustainable into the future.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and implement effective planning cycles, timings, durations and competencies for tasks
- Ensuring that all maintenance plans are correctly implemented across the estate
- Verifying that work tasks are generated at the correct periodicity, triggered at the right time, and executed in accordance with statutory and operational requirements
- Deconfliction & alignment of operational activity with strategic activity
- Implement effective configuration controls for asset lifecycle management, ensuring the asset register and property directory are accurate
- Ensure maintenance strategies are created and embedded across all GSUK assets
- Monitor & report 3rd party service provider performance against contractual SLAs and statutory obligations
- Develop and implement, in collaboration with Procurement, Asset Management and Internal delivery departments, appropriate solutions and contract procurement strategy for the most cost effective delivery of GSUK estate outputs
- In conjunction with the Senior Project Manager (Asset Management Data Manager), develop system capabilities and identify new technologies and ways of working to improve the efficiency of GSUK and the Operational Businesses
What you'll bring
- Advanced user of a CAFM/ERP system for scheduling, task generation, KPI tracking, concession management, compliance reporting
- Interfaces with Capex and Opex Projects, 3rd Party delivery agents and Senior Engineering specialists to ensure compliant and efficient facilities operations
- Demonstrable experience in similar role
- Stakeholder Management with good communication skills
- Advantageous
- Understanding of MSP/P6 systems
- Awareness or previous experience of using SFG20 & associated British Standards
- Understanding of KPI’s associated with Facility Management activity
Minimum Criteria
- Competence in CAFM/ERP/EAM systems
- Minimum 5yrs experience in similar role
- Experience of ISO9001 & ISO14001 Management Systems
