Help us create a better future, quicker

We’re looking for an experienced Strategic People Project Consultant to join our People & Organisation function, supporting the delivery of high impact people projects across the business.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be trusted to independently support senior leaders and key stakeholders, demonstrating agility in managing shifting priorities and applying tailored solutions to complex and often sensitive people challenges. Alongside project delivery, you’ll lead on complex and high-risk casework, advising on employment law risk, managing key stakeholders and helping to minimise legal, financial and reputational exposure for the business.

A core part of the role is using insight and data to drive improvement. You’ll analyse case management trends to identify emerging risks, opportunities and capability gaps, using these insights to shape proactive interventions, strengthen manager confidence and improve the overall employee experience.

You’ll also contribute to the development and delivery of targeted training for managers and senior leaders, ensuring they are equipped to manage people issues confidently, consistently and compliantly. You’ll act as a point of escalation and coaching support for Case Consultants and Case Advisors, reviewing complex cases and formal documentation, maintaining standards and promoting a culture of continuous improvement across the People Relations & Case Management function. The role also provides delegated cover for the Head of People Relations and Case Management when required, ensuring continuity of service and leadership support.

What you’ll bring

This role would suit a senior HR or People Relations professional with deep, current knowledge of UK Employment Law, including TUPE, redundancy, discrimination and case law developments. You’ll bring strong consultancy skills, the ability to influence at senior and executive level, and the confidence to challenge thinking while proposing pragmatic, legally sound people solutions. Experience of delivering strategic people projects, operating in complex environments and balancing reactive casework with proactive project delivery is essential.

What’s in it for you

As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%. At ScottishPower, we believe it’s the little things we do in life that make a big difference. From helping you look after your family’s wellbeing, save for your future and take personal steps for climate action – our benefits are designed to help you do just that - so that you have everything you need to take care of your world – today and tomorrow.

  • 36 days annual leave
  • Holiday Purchase – perfect your work/life balance with extra annual leave
  • Share Schemes
  • Payroll Giving and Charity Matched Funding
  • Technology Vouchers – save more and spread the cost of your technology purchases
  • Electric Vehicle Schemes – to help you transition to green/clean driving
  • Cycle to Work scheme and Public Transport Season Ticket Loans
  • Healthcare benefit options including: Dental Insurance, Private Medical Insurance, Health Cash Plan and annual Health Assessments
  • Life Assurance (4x salary)
  • Access to Savesmart financial wellbeing support
  • Plus shopping, leisure, restaurant and gym discounts, and unique employee deals on travel insurance and more
