The Low Voltage (LV) Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing LV network activities to support network performance, safety, and cost efficiency across the SP Energy Networks distribution area. The role focuses on the delivery of LV interventions, including multiple fuse replacements, LV hygiene, and secondary reinforcement, using data-led insights to improve worst-performing LV circuits and reduce fault costs.
This role requires strong technical awareness of LV networks, effective coordination skills, and the ability to translate performance data into practical delivery plans.
What you’ll be doing- LV Network Coordination
- Coordinate planned and reactive Low Voltage (LV) network activities to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient network operation.
- Maintain oversight of LV asset performance and condition across the Middlewich and surrounding areas.
- Support the delivery of LV programmes aligned to SP Energy Networks’ operational and regulatory targets.
- Multiple Fuse Replacement Programmes
- Coordinate multiple LV fuse replacement activity across the network.
- Prioritise work based on risk, asset condition, fault history, and customer impact.
- Work closely with operational teams and contractors to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
- Network Data & Performance Analysis
- Use NetView and associated systems to analyse LV network performance data.
- Identify worst-performing LV circuits, repeat fault locations, and emerging network risks.
- Convert performance insights into planned LV interventions and improvement actions.
- Worst-Performing LV Circuits
- Support targeted improvement activity on worst-performing LV circuits.
- Coordinate remedial actions including asset replacement, reconfiguration, or reinforcement.
- Monitor circuit performance following interventions to confirm performance improvement.
- LV Hygiene
- Coordinate LV hygiene activities to improve asset condition, safety, and long-term resilience.
- Ensure LV assets meet SP Energy Networks’ standards and address non-compliance or poor-condition assets.
- Support proactive maintenance approaches to reduce repeat faults and failures.
- Fault Cost Management
- Monitor and support the reduction of LV fault costs through targeted interventions.
- Work with fault response and engineering teams to identify root causes and long-term solutions.
- Support value-for-money decision-making when planning LV works.
- LV Interventions
- Coordinate LV interventions including:
- Asset renewal and replacement
- Load balancing and network reconfiguration
- Voltage and capacity improvement works
- Ensure interventions are delivered safely, efficiently, and with minimal customer impact.
- Secondary Reinforcement
- Support the identification and coordination of secondary LV reinforcement requirements.
- Liaise with planning and engineering teams to support reinforcement driven by load growth, network constraints, or performance issues.
- Assist in the scoping and delivery of reinforcement solutions.
- Stakeholder & Contractor Management
- Act as a coordination point between planning, field operations, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure clear communication, effective programme coordination, and accurate reporting.
- Safety, Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with SP Energy Networks’ safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Promote and embed a strong safety-first culture in all LV network activities.
- Support robust governance, documentation, and reporting standards appropriate to an EN4 role.
- Essential
- Experience working with LV distribution networks, ideally within a DNO environment.
- Strong understanding of LV faults, asset condition, and performance drivers.
- Experience using NetView or similar network analysis tools.
- Ability to interpret network data and support delivery-focused solutions.
- Good coordination, planning, and communication skills.
- Desirable
- Experience coordinating LV reinforcement or secondary system upgrades.
