What you’ll be doing
- You will support the delivery of strategic stakeholder engagement and communications for SP Energy Networks’ transmission business as it enters a major period of investment under RIIO‑T3.
- Reporting to the Head of Transmission Stakeholder Engagement & Communications, you will:
- Lead engagement with an Independent Stakeholder Group, supporting effective challenge, insight and feedback on delivery of the RIIO‑T3 Business Plan.
- Provide strategic guidance to subject matter experts across policy, regulation, engineering, finance, environment and sustainability.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, communities and customers to deliver well‑planned engagement activity aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Commission and analyse stakeholder research and feedback to support informed decision‑making.
- Help build stakeholder engagement skills and capability across the business.
- Plan and coordinate a range of internal and external stakeholder events.
- Oversee budget and financial management, including reporting, revisions and SAP processes.
- Lead stakeholder engagement audit and assurance activity to maintain high standards and compliance.
What you’ll bring
- Professional qualification or equivalent experience in Stakeholder Engagement and Communications.
- Strong commercial awareness with a proven track record in managing stakeholders and customer relationships.
- Excellent planning, organisation and project management skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and experience using engagement tools and platforms.
- Collaborative approach with strong interpersonal skills and a positive team mindset.
- Ability to travel across the UK.
- Strong digital skills, including Microsoft 365.
