As Product Owner within our Customer Experience team, you will have complete ownership of a digital product which includes its backlog and value. Responsibilities will include owning the end-to-end product management process from discovery to delivery, leading the workstream, delivering product related business KPI's, and lead analysis of business cases related to product initiatives.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading the product work stream, ensuring that a clear and robust structure is in place, the Product Owner will contribute and work towards the product strategy and vision, contributing to the “digital first” mission statement.
  • Ensuring that all product strategies and associated activities are aligned with overall strategic objectives.
  • Interpretation of user research, quantitative and qualitative data to make informed product decisions, distinguishing between user needs and user wants.
  • Creation of product and service roadmaps, working closely with the Lead Engineer, Product Designer and Senior Product Owner. Use of product descriptions and iterative delivery plans to assign priorities and make informed decisions.
  • Bringing together views and input from a wide range of internal and external contributors, such as senior Stakeholders, Developers and User Researchers on product vision, definition and delivery approach.
  • Responsibility for the product management lifecycle.
  • Keeping abreast of user habits, preferences, behaviours and the latest technology.
  • Deputising for the Senior Product Owner.

What you'll bring

  • Degree or equivalent in a Business, Accounting or IT discipline.
  • A practitioner of agile working methods with practical experience working in an agile delivery environment.
  • Strong track record of the successful delivery and management of high-quality digital products/services.
  • Ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels, from high-level vision, roadmap and service strategy to day-to-day delivery of individual features and stories.
  • Strong data interpretation skills and ability to set, manage and monitor service metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Understanding of digital landscape/technologies and a clear passion for digital technologies and their potential within ScottishPower.
  • Ability to work across business boundaries, both within the Marketing Team in ScottishPower Energy Retail but also across ScottishPower Systems UK, IOC Spain, Iberdrola Digital and Digital peers across the wider Iberdrola Group.

Minimum Criteria

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Delivery experience within a commercial digital environment.
  • Stakeholder Management and Leadership skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with understanding of commercial impact and opportunities of online/self-serve customer service, marketing and sales.
  • Awareness of Regulatory environment.
