What you’ll be doing
The Senior PMO Analyst role will form part of the Cyber Programme office and be responsible for supporting the maintenance of key controls and reporting associated to the SPEN Cyber change agenda. The role will support the NIS PMO Manager to oversee the adherence and effective management of defined change governance controls across multiple programmes delivering the Cyber change agenda, as well as collating progress and financial reporting for senior stakeholders. The Senior PMO Analyst will provide critical governance, reporting, and compliance support for SPEN Cyber, ensuring delivery aligns with Ofgem RIIO-2 and RIIO-3 regulatory requirements and within approved allowances. This role will manage complex reporting cycles, procurement governance, and financial tracking, enabling transparency and accountability. The role will build strong relationships across the programme team, as well as with wider business stakeholders, ensuring alignment to key delivery requirements.
Responsibilities also include:
- Produce detailed documentation within challenging timelines
- Take decisions within the scope of the role and escalate as appropriate
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across functions and grades
- Maintaining Cyber Project risk registers
- Producing accurate performance reports for Senior Leadership
- Motivate or influence stakeholders to follow a course of action
- Effectively time manage, prioritise and organise workloads in a fluid environment
- Challenge stakeholders of all grades to ensure timely adherence to department and corporate controls
What experience you might bring
- Working in a PMO environment
- Working in a regulatory controlled environment
- Project reporting & control, and budgetary controls
- Tracking and reporting project management deliverables
- Using artefacts utilised to support programme/project delivery
- Liaising with multiple parties including programme/project managers, internal stakeholders, and third-party vendors
- Producing accurate, relevant work to tight deadlines
- Pushing back and challenging project managers to maintain reporting assurance levels, and accurate financial analysis
To be successful in the role you will have
- Previous Project Management Office Experience (3+ years)
- Advanced PMO governance and reporting expertise in regulated environments
- Experience with financial and procurement governance
- Proven ability to work within a fluid working environment to agreed timescales
- Commercial awareness and experience
- Understanding of the UK IT footprint
- Be a proficient user of the MS Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
- HND or equivalent
