We have an excellent career opportunity for the role of Senior Support Worker to join our team here at iBC Healthcare at one of our Residential services.
Responsibilities- To support people with disabilities, including individuals with profound and complex needs, using person-centred approaches to enable people to achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.
- Basic daily duties include medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and paperwork/audits.
- To provide emotional and practical support for the people you support and the team.
- To support the people in our care to access community facilities and be included in community groups.
- To build a robust relationship with the people in our care to promote independence and improve quality of life.
- To empower the people in our care to learn new skills or pursue hobbies and interests.
- Accurately report, record, and maintain records as required and work to care plans.
- Completing and supporting with audits and medication rounds.
- To support the Team Leader with the daily running of the shift.
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
- A full UK Manual driving licence is desirable.
- An NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable.
- The ability to multi-task.
- Good time management, organisation, attention to detail and flexibility.
- IT literate.
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- You must have a compassionate, caring, positive personality.
- Possess a genuine passion for making a real difference in people’s lives.
- Able to manage challenging behaviour and conflict.
- Works well as part of a team as well as individually.
