We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dedicated, and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team within one of our Residential Services. This role is perfect for someone who leads by example, champions person-centred care, and thrives in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred support to people with disabilities and those with profound and complex needs
- Assist with daily tasks including medication rounds, cooking, cleaning, paperwork, and audits
- Provide emotional and practical support
- Encourage and support individuals to access community facilities and social groups
- Build strong, trusting relationships that promote independence and enhance quality of life
- Empower individuals to learn new skills, pursue hobbies, and set personal goals
- Maintain accurate records, reporting, and documentation in line with care plans
Supporting the Team & Service
- Lead by example to provide high-quality support
- Assist the Team Leader with the day-to-day running of shifts
- Support colleagues in maintaining standards, completing audits, and delivering exceptional care
Qualifications
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Minimum 1 year’s experience as a Senior Support Worker supporting individuals with complex mental health needs
- A Full UK Manual Driving Licence (desirable)
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
- Strong multi-tasking, time-management, and organisational skills
- Competence in IT and administrative tasks
- A positive, proactive “can-do” attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Compassion, professionalism, and a genuine passion for supporting others
- The ability to manage challenging behaviour and conflict
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
