About the Role

As Regional Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to Registered Managers, Service Managers, and wider operational teams across the region. You will be accountable for ensuring services consistently achieve high standards in quality, compliance, financial performance, staffing stability, and person‑centred support delivery. You will play a key role in shaping the continued growth and sustainability of the region by developing strong relationships with Local Authorities, commissioners, external stakeholders, and internal departments including Quality & Compliance, Recruitment, Business Development, and People & Culture. This role requires a visible, inspiring, and solutions‑focused leader who can effectively balance operational performance with compassionate leadership and quality care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the operational delivery of multiple Supported Living services across South Yorkshire and the Northwest.
  • Provide strategic direction, leadership, and guidance to Registered Managers and Service Managers to ensure operational excellence across the region.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, embedding high‑performance cultures and accountability throughout services.
  • Develop and implement regional operational strategies aligned with organisational objectives and growth plans.
  • Support the delivery of innovative, sustainable, and commercially viable operational models across the region.
  • Ensure all services operate in full compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements, and company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular operational audits, service reviews, and due diligence exercises to identify improvements and strengthen service delivery.
  • Work closely with Quality & Compliance teams to maintain high‑performing services and improve regulatory outcomes.
  • Lead on action planning and service improvements where required.
  • Take full accountability for regional budgets, commissioned hours, staffing costs, and agency usage.
  • Identify efficiencies and implement commercially sound strategies that strengthen service sustainability without compromising quality.
  • Monitor occupancy levels and work collaboratively with Referrals and Business Development teams to support regional growth.
  • Analyse operational performance data and provide strategic reports to senior leadership.
  • Inspire, motivate, and develop operational management teams across the region.
  • Lead on staff retention, succession planning, workforce stability, and leadership development.
  • Conduct supervisions, appraisals, and performance reviews while identifying ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Promote positive workplace culture, staff wellbeing, engagement, and accountability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Local Authorities, commissioners, social workers, healthcare professionals, and families.
  • Represent the organisation professionally during referral assessments, stakeholder meetings, and external partnership discussions.
  • Support new service developments and regional growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with all organisational departments to drive shared business objectives and operational success.
  • Champion person‑centred approaches that promote independence, inclusion, dignity, and choice.
  • Ensure services deliver bespoke, high‑quality support tailored to individual needs.
  • Oversee regular care plan reviews and monitor outcomes for the people we support.
  • Ensure services support individuals with complex needs including learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and behaviours of concern.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced operational leader with a strong background in multi‑site Supported Living or Adult Social Care management who can confidently lead services strategically while remaining people‑focused and quality‑driven.

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Significant experience within a senior operational leadership role overseeing multi‑site, area, or regional services.
  • Previous experience holding CQC registration.
  • Strong knowledge of Supported Living operations and adult social care legislation.
  • Proven experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and complex behaviours.
  • Demonstrable experience driving service improvements, operational performance, and team development.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and operational efficiencies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of: Mental Capacity Act (MCA), Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), Safeguarding legislation, CQC regulations and compliance framework.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
