As we continue to grow, we're looking for a passionate Health & Social Care Trainer to join our Learning & Development team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced health and social care professional who is passionate about developing others and wants to play a key role in improving the quality of care delivered across our services.
About the Role
As a Health & Social Care Trainer, you'll deliver engaging, practical and compliant learning programmes for both new starters and existing colleagues across iBC Healthcare. Based in Leicester, Chesterfield or Stoke-on-Trent, you'll support colleagues across the region by delivering both mandatory and bespoke training. You'll work closely with operational managers and the wider Learning & Development team to ensure our workforce has the knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed to deliver safe, person-centred, high-quality care.
Please note: This role requires regular travel across our services and attendance at our Leicester office every Friday for team collaboration, planning and development.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver engaging face-to-face induction and mandatory training across the region.
- Facilitate training in areas including:
- Safeguarding
- Medication Administration
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
- Autism
- Mental Health
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
- Learning Disabilities
- Moving & Handling
- Infection Prevention & Control
- Record Keeping
- CQC Fundamental Standards
- Person-Centred Care
- Deliver bespoke, service-specific training tailored to individual care packages.
- Facilitate annual refresher training to maintain compliance and best practice.
- Coach and mentor colleagues, supporting their ongoing development.
- Work alongside managers to identify learning needs and develop team capability.
- Support the design and continuous improvement of learning programmes and training materials.
- Ensure all learning reflects current legislation, best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate training records and evaluation data.
- Promote and embed iBC Healthcare's values throughout every learning experience.
About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about helping others grow and committed to delivering outstanding care. You will have:
- A minimum of two years' experience working within health and social care.
- A strong understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, medication administration and person-centred care.
- A genuine passion for learning and developing others.
- Confidence presenting to groups, or a willingness to develop your facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to engage, motivate and coach colleagues at all levels.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and a collaborative approach.
- A desire to develop a career within Learning & Development.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, with the flexibility to travel across our services and attend the Leicester office every Friday.
