What You’ll Be Doing
As a Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in helping adults with disabilities, including those with profound and complex needs, to live their best lives through person‑centred support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing emotional and practical support that empowers people to achieve their personal goals.
- Supporting individuals to access their community, take part in local activities, and build social connections.
- Assisting with daily living tasks, such as medication, cooking, cleaning, and maintaining accurate records.
- Encouraging independence by helping people develop new skills and pursue hobbies or interests.
- Building trusting relationships to improve wellbeing and quality of life.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings positivity, patience, and genuine care to their work. You’ll also have:
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, complex needs, and challenging behaviours.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and flexibility.
- IT literacy and a proactive “can-do” attitude.
