Quality Checker – Quality & Compliance
Salary: £30,264 per annum
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location: Based in Chesterfield, with hybrid working and regular travel across our services in the North Midlands, North West and South Yorkshire
Ready to take the next step from Team Leader?
If you’ve led shifts in adult social care and you’re the person who spots what others miss, this is your chance to move into quality and compliance and make a difference across a whole organisation, not just one service.
As a Quality Checker in our Quality & Compliance team, you’ll audit and monitor a portfolio of our residential and supported living services across the North Midlands, North West and South Yorkshire, working closely with our Service Improvement Manager. You’ll use CQC’s key lines of enquiry and risk-based approach to test how our services are performing, then turn your findings into clear, practical improvements that make a real difference to the people we support.
What you’ll be doing
- Carrying out desktop and on-site quality audits in line with CQC requirements and IBC’s Quality Assurance Framework
- Completing spot checks across residential and supported living services, including waking night shifts
- Recording and reporting findings accurately on our electronic compliance system
- Supporting the Service Improvement Manager to create and deliver tailored action plans
- Carrying out risk assessments so services understand their compliance risks and priorities
- Reviewing documentation, policies and procedures to make sure they meet CQC, contractual and health and safety standards
- Capturing and sharing positive outcomes from services, with a clear audit trail of decisions, actions and results
- Making sure the wishes and needs of the people we support are heard, and promoting choice and involvement in decision-making
- Gathering information internally in response to requests from regulators
- Keeping up to date with regulatory changes and best practice
- Maintaining project files and general administration
