Support Worker – Supported Living Service
Location: B28 9DP
- Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour
- Shift: Day (full day)
- Schedule: Full‑time 42 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Support people with disabilities, including profound and complex needs, using person‑centred approaches to achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.
- Provide medication administration, cooking, cleaning and paperwork duties.
- Deliver emotional and practical support.
- Assist residents in accessing community facilities and participating in community groups.
- Build robust relationships to promote independence and improve quality of life.
- Empower residents to learn new skills or pursue hobbies and interests.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience supporting people with mental health conditions, complex care needs, challenging behaviours, autism, and psychosis.
- Valid driving licence (essential).
- Ability to multitask.
- Strong time‑management, organisational skills, attention to detail and flexibility.
- IT literate.
- Positive “can‑do” attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Compassionate, caring and positive personality.
- Genuine passion for making a real difference in people’s lives.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour and conflict.
