Support Worker – Supported Living Service

Location: B28 9DP

  • Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour
  • Shift: Day (full day)
  • Schedule: Full‑time 42 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Support people with disabilities, including profound and complex needs, using person‑centred approaches to achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.
  • Provide medication administration, cooking, cleaning and paperwork duties.
  • Deliver emotional and practical support.
  • Assist residents in accessing community facilities and participating in community groups.
  • Build robust relationships to promote independence and improve quality of life.
  • Empower residents to learn new skills or pursue hobbies and interests.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting people with mental health conditions, complex care needs, challenging behaviours, autism, and psychosis.
  • Valid driving licence (essential).
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong time‑management, organisational skills, attention to detail and flexibility.
  • IT literate.
  • Positive “can‑do” attitude.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Compassionate, caring and positive personality.
  • Genuine passion for making a real difference in people’s lives.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour and conflict.
  • Team player and self‑directed individual.
