Head of Sales, EMEA

The Role

We are looking for a proactive and commercially driven Sales Development Representative to support our Business Development Managers in winning new customers across the aviation industry.

You will identify prospective customers, engage key decision-makers and book qualified meetings for the Business Development team. Our aviation data and intelligence solutions are used by organisations including aircraft lessors, airlines, MROs and banks.

This is an outbound-focused role requiring confidence, resilience and a willingness to engage prospects through telephone calls, email, networking and social selling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and research prospective customers across the aviation sector.
  • Build targeted prospect lists within agreed market segments and territories.
  • Contact prospective customers through outbound calls, personalised emails and LinkedIn.
  • Use Cognism and other sales-intelligence platforms to identify relevant companies, contacts and decision-makers.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our aviation data and intelligence solutions.
  • Communicate our value proposition clearly and confidently to prospective customers.
  • Qualify opportunities and book relevant meetings for the Business Development Managers.
  • Work closely with the BDM team to target priority accounts and support new-logo acquisition.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders across airlines, lessors, MROs, banks and other aviation organisations.
  • Attend relevant industry events and networking opportunities where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activity within the CRM.
  • Follow up consistently with prospects through structured outreach sequences.
  • Provide market feedback, including common objections, customer requirements and competitor activity.
  • Contribute to the continued improvement of prospecting messages, campaigns and outreach strategies.

Key Performance Indicator

The primary KPI for this role will be: Number of qualified new-business meetings booked per month.

Meeting targets will be agreed with the Head of Sales, EMEA, and reviewed regularly. Performance will also be assessed through meeting quality, prospecting activity, conversion rates and contribution to the new-business pipeline.

Experience and Skills

  • Previous experience in an SDR, lead-generation, telesales or business-development role is preferred.
  • Confident making outbound calls and engaging senior decision-makers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable using LinkedIn for prospecting and relationship building.
  • Experience using Cognism, LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar sales-intelligence tools would be beneficial.
  • Organised and able to manage a high volume of prospects and follow-up activity.
  • Self-motivated, resilient and comfortable working towards monthly targets.
  • Curious and willing to learn about aviation, data and financial markets.
  • Able to work collaboratively with Business Development Managers and the wider commercial team.
  • Experience within aviation, data, SaaS or financial services would be advantageous but is not essential.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means consistently creating high-quality opportunities for the Business Development team. You will build engagement with prospective customers, secure qualified meetings with relevant decision-makers and directly contribute to the growth of our EMEA new-business pipeline.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your sales career within the aviation data and intelligence sector, gain exposure to international customers and progress towards a Business Development Manager role.
