Due to continued growth, we’re looking to introduce a Management Accounts Assistant into our finance team. This is a varied role combining transactional accounting with exposure to management accounts, reporting, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accounts to trial balance for a US entity
- Post supplier invoices, reconcile statements, and resolve queries
- Post and allocate bank transactions and manage remittances
- Support monthly management accounts (stock, margin, and intercompany reconciliations)
- Post payroll journals
- Manage Amazon accounting (stock, invoicing, reconciliations)
- Complete VAT returns and packaging waste returns
- Produce sales, margin, and expense analysis
- Prepare management accounts for two smaller entities
- Support year-end audit requirements
- Maintain and reconcile payment tracker
- Assist with process improvements
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in a similar Management Accounts Assistant role
- Confident preparing accounts to trial balance
- Strong reconciliation experience (bank, stock, intercompany)
- Experience supporting monthly management accounts
- Sage 50 and/or Sage 200
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-entity structures
- Understanding of foreign currency transactions
Highly Desirable
- Amazon / ecommerce / B2C accounting experience
- Studying towards an accounting qualification
