We are looking for a skilled developer to join a growing IT team, helping to design, build and enhance bespoke business applications that support inventory management, logistics, replenishment and omnichannel operations.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from developing new applications and system integrations to improving user experience across retail and e Commerce platforms.

The Role

As a Python Developer, you will work closely with the Head of IT and Project Managers to develop and maintain business-critical applications in a Windows environment.

Your initial focus will be the development of a bespoke application that bridges inventory management, replenishment and third-party logistics systems.

You will play a key role in designing the solution, developing functionality, managing integrations and creating an intuitive user experience for both store and head office users.

There will also be opportunities to contribute to wider technology projects including e Commerce, omnichannel, CRM and ERP initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test and maintain bespoke applications using Python and PHP.
  • Build a SQL Server-based application that integrates inventory, replenishment and warehouse systems.
  • Develop data validation and order consolidation processes.
  • Create user-friendly interfaces and improve system usability.
  • Integrate applications with Excel and other business tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and resolve design challenges.
  • Conduct user testing, troubleshooting and ongoing support.
  • Contribute to future integration, e Commerce and omnichannel projects.

About You

  • Strong commercial experience developing applications using Python and PHP.
  • Experience working with SQL Server and Windows-based environments.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with business users and project teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable translating business requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior developers would be beneficial.
