My Client is one of the most successful premium/luxury retailers in the UK. Due to this continued success they are now seeking an L+D Advisor to join the team – to help elevate standards even more. This is a new role – reporting into the L+D Manager, with the scope to really make an impact in this high‑profile business. Purpose of Role
To support the development of operational capability across the UK & Ireland retail estate. This role shapes and delivers impactful learning strategies that directly improve performance on the ground. You'll partner with operational leaders to identify capability gaps, design scalable solutions, and embed practical learning that drives measurable business results. You'll lead complex, multi‑site initiatives, ensure consistent high‑quality delivery, and build a culture where continuous development is part of how they operate.
Key Accountabilities
- Partner with country and operational stakeholders to understand commercial priorities and translate them into clear, focused learning strategies.
- Lead large‑scale learning initiatives across multiple operational locations, ensuring alignment, consistency and measurable impact.
- Design practical, performance‑driven learning programmes for operations teams, focused on driving sales, service excellence and compliance.
- Develop and deliver leadership development programmes for operational managers, strengthening their capability to lead teams, coach performance and drive results.
- Implement robust evaluation frameworks, using learner feedback, behavioural data and performance metrics to refine and continuously improve initiatives.
- Leverage digital learning tools, mobile platforms and blended methodologies to create scalable, engaging and accessible learning experiences.
- Ensure all training meets regulatory requirements and company policies, reducing risk and strengthening operational standards.
- Design inclusive learning experiences that support diversity, equity and belonging across all teams.
- Identify emerging trends and future skills within operations, proactively integrating them into learning strategies and content.
Specific Requirements
- Strong understanding of retail operations.
- Excellent project management, communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to travel when needed to sites across the UK & Ireland.
- Confident using learning management systems (LMS), authoring tools and digital collaboration platforms.
- Ability to interpret and act on learning analytics, evaluation data and performance dashboards.
- Comfortable experimenting with new learning technologies and platforms.
- Experience in an L&D role, ideally within a multi‑site operational environment.
- Proven experience leading large‑scale learning initiatives with measurable business impact.
- Desirable: Experience in Organisational Development, HR or Retail.
