People & Culture Lead / HR Business Partner
Location: West London Contract: 6 months β maternity cover Working: Hybrid Start: Ideally early September
The Opportunity
IB Talent Search is partnering with a leading global retail marketing business to recruit a senior People & Culture Lead / HR Business Partner for its London office.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role within an established international organisation.
You will provide HR Business Partner support across the UK and North America, while acting as a strategic People & Culture advisor to a global Solutions division.
Working closely with senior leaders, you will balance day-to-day HR delivery with longer-term people strategy, helping the organisation develop its talent, capability and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pragmatic, commercially focused HRBP support across the UK and North America.
- Lead and advise on complex Employee Relations matters including performance, disciplinary, grievance and absence cases.
- Ensure HR policies, processes and employment documentation comply with UK and relevant North American requirements.
- Coach and advise managers and senior leaders on performance, engagement, organisational and people issues.
- Partner with global leadership on organisation structure, capability, talent and workforce planning.
- Support performance management, succession planning and employee development.
- Provide HR input into organisational change, restructures and team effectiveness.
- Use people data and insight to support business decisions and future hiring requirements.
- Work closely with the wider global People & Culture team and external legal advisers where appropriate.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes, systems and reporting.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner, HR Manager or People & Culture Lead who is comfortable operating at both strategic and operational level.
You should have
- Proven experience in a senior HRBP / People & Culture role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
- Experience supporting employees and managers across an international business.
- Experience working within a global or multi-region organisation.
- Strong Employee Relations, performance, talent, workforce planning and organisational change experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and coaching skills.
- The confidence to work independently, make sound judgements and operate at pace.
- A commercially focused and pragmatic approach to HR.
Desirable
- Hi Bob experience (or similar).
- Experience within technology, solutions, consulting or professional services.
- Previous experience covering a maternity or fixed-term senior HR position.
