We are currently recruiting for a number of vehicle fitters to join a UK leading manufacturer at their top class site in Hixon, Staffordshire (ST18). These roles are long-term temp to perm opportunities. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing and engineering environment, with a company that promotes from within, and has many exciting opportunities ahead.

Having your own car/motorbike is essential due to the location of the work. A full week of paid training is provided within an on-site state of the art training centre.

Vehicle Fitter key job details:

  • Monday to Thurs: 08:00 to 17:00, Fridays: 08:00 to 14:00.
  • £12.21ph, weekly pay.
  • Overtime is available and paid at premium.
  • Temp to perm opportunity.

Vehicle Fitter responsibilities:

  • Operate hand and air powered tools to complete assemblies and undertake fitting of completed parts to specifications.
  • Working as part of a small production team to meet production deadlines for your stage.
  • Ensuring all supplies, materials, and tools are available for your team.
  • Quality checking assemblies and fittings.
  • Comply with health and safety rules at all times.

Vehicle Fitter specification:

  • You must have your own car or motorbike due to the location of the work.
  • Previous experience of using hand and air tools is preferable but not essential due to thorough on the job training processes.
  • A real keen attitude to learn new skills is a must, this company will invest time into your development from day one.
  • Good English level is required.
  • Must be comfortable working in a busy production environment.
