We are currently looking for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our client's team, located in Hixon, Staffordshire (ST18). This is a full time long term role, which carries a real opportunity of a permanent role for the right candidate.
- Work is within an engineering workshop environment, so any applicants must be comfortable operating in this type of environment.
- Having your own car or motorbike is essential due to the location of work.
Forklift Driver key job details:
- 06:00 to 14:30, Monday to Friday
- Starting pay rate of up to £13.65ph
- Overtime paid at 1.2x on weekdays, 1.4x on weekends
- Long term work
Forklift Driver key responsibilities:
- Operate a counterbalance forklift truck
- Movement of parts and materials around the workshop and into a factory
- Loading and unloading
- Carry out forklift checks and report any defects
- Follow site procedures and work plans accurately
- Always comply with health and safety policies
Forklift Driver person specification:
- You must hold an in-date valid accredited counterbalance FLT licence (e.g. RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT)
- Previous experience of operating a forklift in an engineering, factory, manufacturing or production environment would be ideal
- Comfortable with some manual handling duties when required
- You must hold good English (reading and verbal) skills
- You must have your own car or motorbike due to the location of the work
