We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join our client's engineering team in Leicester.
This is a permanent full time job.
The company is a supplier of machined and fabricated components.
They have a global consumer base, and sub-contract work from some of the UK's largest companies.
Maintenance Engineer key job details
- Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:00, 37.5 hours per week
- £35k salary

- Company has a couple of sites in Leicester, some travel between them is a part of the role
Maintenance Engineer key responsibilities
- Provide mechanical maintenance to a wide range of CNC and specialist machinery
- Mechanical repairs to gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drive chains, pumps and tanks
- Manage and resolve reactive breakdown repairs, reducing machine downtimes to a minimum
- As required carry out major refurbishment of plant, equipment and machinery
- PLC fault finding and interrogation
- Investigate reported faults, identify the cause and decide the necessary course of action to rectify the fault
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Comply with legal requirements and to work within Company health and safety guidelines
Maintenance Engineer person specification
- HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience of fault-finding and repairing CNC multi-axis machines
- Conversant with Fanuc & Siemens controls
- Good English skills (reading, verbal, written)
- Computer literate
- You must hold a UK driving licence and have your own car
