We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join our client's team. This work is based within their top class manufacturing facility located just outside of Burton on Trent. This is a temp to perm opportunity.
Production Operative key job details:
- Monday to Thursday, 07:00 to 16:00, Fridays 07:00 to 13:00, 39hrs per week
- £13ph, weekly pay
- Overtime available
- Immediate starts following successful interview.
Production Operative duties:
- Assist with the manufacturing of high quality metal (e.g. copper and stainless steel) components
- Operate hydraulic presses, band saws and handheld grinders
- You will be trained on how to use the above machines in a safe manner
- Manual handling of components (this will involve some heavy lifting)
- Quality checking components at the end of your process
- Comply with health and safety at all times
Production Operative person specification:
- We are looking for someone who has previous experience of metalworks, for example Fabrication, Machine Operators, Metal prep work
- You will receive training, but ideally you will have experience of using hand held grinders, and other relatable equipment
- Must be comfortable with some heavy lifting duties
- Must have good English (reading and verbal)
- Ideally you will have your own transport due to the location of the work
