Are you a maintenance technician looking for a permanent night role? Would you like to work for an exciting, expanding family-run business? I'Anson Bros Ltd is one of the leading animal feed manufacturers in the UK, a family-owned company with a 125-year history and a forward-looking approach to business, serving a local, national, and international customer base. The headquarters is based in Masham, North Yorkshire, with an exciting new facility at Dalton, Thirsk.
With a focus on team spirit, we are looking for a self-motivated individual to be a part of the electrical and mechanical maintenance team, predominantly covering the night shift period to assist both sites as required.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician will include:
- Assisting in the electrical and mechanical maintenance on both sites
- Improving the company's high standards through preventative maintenance
- Providing night shift cover as part of the maintenance team for a 24-hour operation
The successful candidate will:
- Be self-sufficient, enthusiastic and able to work effectively with minimum supervision
- Have previous experience in mechanical and electrical machine maintenance
- Be experienced in troubleshooting and fault finding
- Have good working knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems
- Have good working knowledge of product transfer systems including elevators, drag-chain and auger feed systems
- Ideally have PLC programming and fault-finding experience
- Be flexible to provide cover for 24-hour operation
