Following an internal promotion, our flourishing South London cyclical painting team is looking for a Quantity Surveyor based in Kent We're looking for someone who shares our values and can support the long-term goals for stability and future growth in the South East.
A driven, people-focused and entrepreneurial Quantity Surveyor, you'll join the dedicated commercial and operational team, which specialises in painting, decorating and associated planned refurbishment works in the South London and Kent areas.
You'll be working for clients across a variety of sectors including commercial property development, education and social housing.

Training and development opportunities Trade discounts from our preferred suppliers for you and your friends and family, and Specsavers vouchers The Quantity Surveyor role: As a Quantity Surveyor you will either be based in our Tonbridge Unit, you will actively tender, estimate and measure onsite.
We can offer a variety of works including established frameworks and core contracts with prestigious housing clients within the public, and residential sector as well as our property services covering retirement living, commercial and education sectors too.
Measure and prepare cost estimates for contracts and tenders, highlighting any commercial risks and mitigation for these.
Prepare cost value reconciliations for contracts, identifying commercial risks and opportunities to ensure correct contract planning from the outset.
Work closely with the Contracts Manager to ensure productivity labour targets are agreed and issued before contract start, including direct labour incentives where possible.
Build strong client, supplier, and subcontractor relations, to ensure any variations and progress of contracts are discussed and mutual, commercially viable solutions are sought, always.
Complete and analyse weekly reporting from site, ensuring it has adequate cost information (including labour rates and performance expectations, budgets, value, progress, quality, and safety)What will you bring as Quantity Surveyor?
You will be inquisitive, organised, and honest as well as being a genuine 'people person' who thrives when collaborating with clients, trade teams and immediate colleagues.
Proven experience in a similar estimating and commercially focused surveying role.
Experience of the commercial ownership of projects and contracts from tender and estimation stages through to final account.
Experience of working for a painting or refurbishment contractor would be very advantageous.
You will describe yourself as commercial, analytical, and accurate in your approach.
