We're seeking a qualified Lead Electrician to join our growing Direct Trades Team across Hampshire and the New Forest. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within our Capital Works Division, delivering high-quality planned refurbishment and improvement projects while developing towards an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor (EQS) position.
You’ll work across a diverse range of projects, including kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, fire safety improvement programmes, and specialist residential refurbishment works. As a Lead Electrician, you’ll have the opportunity to influence quality standards, support and mentor colleagues, and help build and develop your own electrical team.

The Role
As Lead Electrician, you will:
- Carry out electrical installations, repairs, maintenance and testing within domestic properties
- Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), Minor Works Certificates and Electrical Installation Certificates accurately and efficiently
- Provide technical support, guidance and mentorship to other electricians
- Conduct quality checks and validations on electrical repairs, small works and inspection/testing activities
- Develop the skills and knowledge required to progress into an EQS role, including reviewing and signing off electrical certification
- Support Building Control notifications for applicable installation works
- Ensure electrical works associated with kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes are completed to the highest quality and compliance standards
- Undertake post-inspections and quality assurance checks in line with company and industry requirements
- Support operational teams with technical expertise whilst maintaining exceptional customer service and regulatory compliance standards
What will you bring to the Lead Electrician role?
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (C&G 2357 or equivalent)
- City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection and Testing qualification (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of electrical compliance requirements
- Experience working within domestic and occupied residential properties
- A genuine ambition to develop into an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor (EQS)
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
- A full UK driving licence
