Here in Ian Macleod Distillers Ltd being ‘in good company’ matters. Pragmatism, pace and getting things done in the right commercial manner remains valued. Delivery and consistency matters, over unnecessary bureaucracy and complexity.
We are looking for an experienced HRBP to join our team on an interim basis, providing support and cover while the current HRBP undertakes a key internal project. The focus of this interim role is ensuring the effective delivery of HR initiatives, programmes and core people processes across a busy commercial team. This role is about consistent, hands‑on execution and embedding of existing and already in flight HR activities – this role is not about redesigning frameworks or engineering new models, instead, it’s a core delivery‑led role. Success will come from keeping things moving, ensuring standards are maintained, and embedding centrally designed initiatives into practical and commercially sound solutions, with outcomes that land effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving the execution of centralised HR programmes and initiatives across the commercial function.
- Ensuring consistent delivery of core performance, talent and workforce planning cycles.
- Providing employee relations advice with a pragmatic and commercially balanced approach.
- Coaching managers and improving day‑to‑day people management capabilities.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has solid experience as an HRBP in a commercial or fast‑paced operational environment.
- Is highly execution‑focused with a track record of delivering commercially impactful people programmes and initiatives.
- Is confident managing employee relations and supporting change in a practical, solutions‑led and commercial way.
- Can effectively work across multiple priorities.
- Builds strong, credible relationships with managers, getting things done through influence and tenacity.
- Enjoys bringing structure and pace to people support and delivery.
- Remains curious, accountable and proactive.
If you are an experienced, pragmatic and commercially focussed HRBP who takes pride in effective execution and delivery, then this is a great opportunity for you to make an immediate impact in an interim capacity.
