Responsibilities

  • Supervise ground investigation crews (cable percussion, rotary and window sampling)
  • Conduct trial pitting and log soil and rock to BS5930 / Eurocode 7 standards
  • Monitor groundwater and gas
  • Produce Phase 1 desk studies
  • Assist in the preparation of factual and interpretive reports
  • Manage projects effectively and professionally

Qualifications and Experience

  • Industry experience in engineering geology or geotechnical investigation
  • Degree in geology, earth sciences or a master’s in engineering geology/geotechnical engineering
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel/work away from home
  • Located within reasonable distance of Glasgow or willing to relocate
  • CSCS card, First Aid training and SSSTS certification
