Principal Engineering Geologist – Coventry – Full-Time – Permanent

Ian Farmer Associates, part of the dynamic RSK Group Ltd, is seeking a forward-thinking Principal Engineering Geologist to join our thriving Coventry team.

What You’ll Be Driving

  • Lead and manage complex ground investigations from concept to completion.
  • Mentor and inspire a talented team of Senior, Graduate, and Junior Engineers.
  • Ensure top-tier quality in soil and rock logging to BS5930 / Eurocode 7 standards.
  • Craft and approve critical H&S documentation and lab schedules.
  • Deliver high-quality Factual Reports, GIRs, and PIRs that shape infrastructure decisions.
  • Collaborate with clients and subcontractors to bring projects to life.
  • Support commercial strategy and project estimation alongside the Regional Manager.

What You Bring

  • Proven expertise in ground investigation and geotechnical reporting.
  • Strong background in geology, earth sciences, or civil engineering.
  • Commercial acumen and contractual awareness.
