  • What you will be doing as an Accounts Assistant
  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct coding.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and bank transactions.
  • Process employee expenses and company payment runs.
  • Support month-end activities, including journals and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with maintaining the purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Respond to supplier and internal finance queries in a timely manner.
  • Support the wider Finance team with administrative and reporting tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and company policies.

What are we looking for?

  • AAT Level 2 (or working towards)
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar finance administration role is desirable.
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping.
  • Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero or similar ERP systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • A positive team player with excellent communication skills.

This is a hybrid working role with a minimum of 2 days per week in the Newcastle Gosforth Office.
