Purpose of the role The Generalist Solution Architect is responsible for designing end-to-end, integrated technology solutions that address complex business problems across the Group.
The role operates as a technology agnostic, delivery focused architecture role, working across multiple domains, platforms, products and programmes, rather than specialising in a single business or technology area.
The Solution Architect translates business requirements into coherent, secure, scalable and supportable solution designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles while remaining pragmatic and delivery aware.
The role is intentionally mobile, moving between initiatives as required, and supporting change across a broad portfolio of programmes and projects.
This role operates as part of the Op Co architecture function, accountable for local architecture outcomes and decision‑making.
While aligned to Group Enterprise Architecture strategy, policies and principles, the role retains autonomy to shape and govern Op Co architectural solutions that best meet local business, delivery and regulatory needs.
