Purpose of the role
The SAP Finance Transformation – Technology Delivery Lead is accountable for driving the successful end-to-end delivery of SAP Finance transformation initiatives, with particular focus on SAP S/4HANA Finance, Central Finance, Group Reporting, Treasury, and SAP BTP. This role acts as the technology delivery owner across complex Finance programmes — ensuring solution design, data, integrations, testing, and deployment activities are aligned, orchestrated, and delivered effectively.
Your responsibilities
- Programme & Delivery Leadership - Lead the end-to-end technology delivery of SAP Finance transformation programmes including S/4HANA Finance, Central Finance, Group Reporting, and Treasury. Own and manage integrated delivery plans across design, build, integrations, data migration, testing, and cutover. Drive governance, RAID management, scope control, and dependency tracking.
- Technology & Solution Alignment - Ensure SAP Finance solutions align to enterprise architecture standards. Validate technical designs and non-functional requirements. Translate Finance business requirements into structured delivery outcomes.
- Data, Integration & Environment Management - Oversee Finance data migration cycles and quality gates. Coordinate integration build/testing across CPI, APIs, banking, tax engines. Manage landscape planning and environment readiness.
- Vendor & Partner Governance - Manage system integrators and partners to quality and SLAs. Support design reviews and solution validation.
- Testing, Cutover & Release Readiness - Lead SIT, UAT, regression and performance testing cycles. Own cutover planning and deployment readiness. Ensure documentation and training materials are complete.
- Finance Stakeholder Engagement - Act as primary technology interface to Finance process owners. Provide reporting and readiness assessments.
Your skills, experience and qualifications
Essential - Experience delivering SAP Finance transformation programmes. Strong understanding of Finance processes (R2R, O2C, P2P, Treasury). Expertise in SAP technical delivery: data, integrations, cloud. Strong governance and communication skills. Hybrid/cloud SAP experience.
Desirable - SAP RISE experience. Knowledge of BRF+, BTP, Group Reporting. SAP/PMI/Prince2 certifications. Regulated or global delivery experience.
