About Us: We are part of International Airlines Group (IAG), one of the world’s leading airline groups and owner of some of the biggest brands in the sky.
Purpose of the role: The Media Ops Lead is responsible for architecting and scaling a world‑class operational engine designed to drive Media Network monetisation. Moving beyond business‑as‑usual, this role focuses on the build‑out of new capabilities, ensuring seamless integration across Finance, Engineering, Product, and Legal. A critical priority is managing the complex operational dependencies of connectivity‑driven media (e.g., Starlink) to guarantee service reliability. By implementing high‑level multi‑OpCo governance, the Lead institutionalises operational rigor, enabling the Media organisation to scale rapidly across all markets while maintaining commercial viability.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of new media operational models, including the strategic hiring of talent and the selection/deployment of the global tool stack.
- Partner with Finance and Product to embed monetisation logic into core operations, ensuring every workflow contributes to revenue growth and cost offset.
- Act as the operational lead for connectivity‑dependent services, managing the technical and logistical dependencies of platforms like Starlink to ensure uninterrupted ad delivery.
- Orchestrate integration between Engineering, Procurement, Legal, and Sales to streamline contract execution, data privacy compliance, and technical deployment.
- Act as a key bridge to OpCos, “selling” the value of centralised media operations and driving the adoption of standardised frameworks.
- Define and track aggressive KPIs tied specifically to monetisation velocity, service uptime (reliability), and the ROI of new capability deployments.
- Standardise operational excellence across diverse markets, providing the coaching and frameworks necessary to elevate local OpCo performance to global standards.
Skills, experience and qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in media operations or digital transformation, with a proven track record of building new functions from scratch rather than just managing existing ones.
- Deep understanding of connectivity‑based media environments (Satcom/Starlink) and the technical challenges of hardware/software integration.
- Expert at navigating complex, multi‑stakeholder environments, specifically bridging the gap between Legal, Engineering, and Commercial teams.
- Demonstrated success in scaling international teams and implementing global ad‑tech/mar‑tech stacks.
- Ability to translate operational efficiency into financial impact, with experience in managing P&L–linked operational KPIs.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence OpCo stakeholders and drive the adoption of new, centralised ways of working.
- A proactive builder who thrives in “Greenfield” projects and can translate ambiguity into structured, actionable operational roadmaps.
