About Us
We are part of International Airlines Group (IAG), one of the world’s leading airline groups and owner of some of the biggest brands in the sky. IAG Transform provides creative and innovative solutions to drive sustainable transformation by delivering procurement and airline services, as well as group-wide systems across IAG. Each operating company benefits from the Transform centralised model, driving efficiencies, automation, and economies of scale.
Purpose of the role
We are seeking a Group Senior Manager to lead Lounges Procurement across IAG, with end‑to‑end accountability for OpCo‑owned lounges outside Heathrow and third‑party lounge provision across all IAG carriers. This is a senior, high‑impact role within Airports Procurement, responsible for defining and delivering category strategy, sourcing, contracting and transformation across a complex global footprint. The role goes beyond traditional category management, with a clear mandate to drive CASK benefit, unlock group synergies and embed more strategic, innovative commercial models. In addition to owning the Lounges category, the role will also be deployed onto specific transformation initiatives, including projects focused on disrupted passenger hotels and transport, supporting the delivery of incremental savings and cost avoidance across IAG during operational disruption.
Your responsibilities
- Own and lead the Lounges procurement category at Group level, covering OpCo‑owned lounges (ex‑Heathrow) and third‑party lounges across IAG airlines.
- Develop and execute multi‑year sourcing and category strategies aligned to Lounges 2030 and wider IAG Transformation priorities.
- Lead end‑to‑end strategic sourcing, including complex RFPs, supplier selection and commercial negotiations across multiple geographies and OpCos.
- Own commercial and contracting strategy, ensuring robust terms, SLAs, performance management and risk controls.
- Drive category transformation and innovation, shifting the Lounges portfolio from BAU procurement to more strategic, value‑led supplier models.
- Deliver and evidence measurable CASK reduction, including synergy capture, supplier consolidation and improved commercial structures.
- Contribute to priority cross‑category transformation projects, particularly those relating to disrupted passenger hotels and transport, working with partner teams to unlock Group‑level savings and reduce disruption‑related cost exposure.
- Build and manage senior supplier and stakeholder relationships, including monopoly and semi‑monopoly environments, challenging existing models where required.
- Act as a trusted Group partner to OpCos, balancing central leverage with local operational requirements.
Your skills, experience and qualifications
- Strong senior‑level experience in strategic procurement or category leadership, ideally within aviation, airports, travel, hospitality or similarly complex environments.
- Demonstrated ability to own and transform a global category, not just manage sourcing activity - must be willing to step into sourcing if required.
- Proven track record in leading high‑value, high‑complexity commercial negotiations and contracts.
- Clear evidence of delivering cost, CASK or value‑creation benefits at scale.
- Confident operating at Group and senior stakeholder level across multiple business units.
- Comfortable working in fast‑paced, operationally sensitive environments with changing priorities.
What we offer
The chance to enjoy a challenging career in an exciting, fast-moving environment in a dynamic industry. The opportunity to work in a multi-cultural environment with great offices in many locations. We support our people in maintaining work/life balance, as well as providing the many benefits one would expect from a global organisation, including health insurance, pension and performance bonuses.
