The opportunity

Working in the Pricing team this person will support the development of pricing strategies for the business, responsible for gathering, analysing, and interpreting data, providing actionable insight to inform pricing decision making at both a tactical and strategic level to achieve business targets.

What you’ll get up to

  1. Support the development of pricing strategies for redemption products across multiple airlines
  2. Assist in developing compelling price propositions for IAG’s membership bases globally and those of our currency partner portfolio
  3. Deliver insightful reporting and analysis
  4. Own a suite of regular reporting for use by the business, including regularly crafting new reports and development of existing reporting
  5. Provide analytical and statistical modelling support; including ad hoc analysis when required
  6. Be a subject matter expert on redemption data
  7. Lead and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency and reliability during enhancements, migrations or upgrades
  8. Research and analyse pricing best practice both within and outside of the Travel/Loyalty sector
  9. Maintenance and development support of pricing systems
  10. Utilise forecasting techniques to predict market trends and pricing impacts, providing critical insights for financial planning and analysis
  11. Collaborate with finance teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities
  12. Manage both internal and external stakeholders effectively, in order to achieve common commercial and customer goals
  13. Potential ownership of a specific product segment within the product range, assuming commercial responsibility for its performance through day-to-day product management

What we need from you

  1. Strong analytical, numerical and commercial acumen
  2. Experience of analysing large volumes of data from different sources
  3. High level of accuracy and a keen attention to detail
  4. Strong influencing and communication skills, both written and verbal
  5. The ability to tell a story with data, providing actionable insights and recommendations
  6. Confident at distilling complex issues and communicating back findings to all levels, including senior and external stakeholders
  7. The passion and curiosity to proactively and consistently investigate data for opportunities to optimise price products
  8. An innovative mindset – someone with a sense of urgency who is excited to create something new, iterate, make mistakes and learn
  9. Ability to plan and prioritise workloads, taking initiative and working independently
  10. Ability to work collaboratively across teams, both internally and externally
  11. Customer focused, displaying an understanding of what excellent internal customer service entails
  12. Enthusiastic, self-motivated and inquisitive about the wider pricing product set and industry
  13. Adaptable and keen to engage in an agile culture

Beneficial experience

  1. Proven numerical aptitude (degree or relevant work experience)
  2. Experience with SQL for querying and retrieving data
  3. Data visualization tool experience (ideally Tableau) – Preferable
  4. Microsoft Excel – Intermediate / Advanced
  5. A passion and aptitude for data analysis, combined with the ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively
  6. Inquisitive nature with a desire to develop skills
  7. Revenue management, pricing or loyalty experience advantageous
