This role is built for a hands-on sourcing specialist who can operate at pace. The primary focus is to run multiple, complex RFPs in parallel within the Lounges category, while also flexing into transformation-led sourcing opportunities across Hotels, Transport and Disrupted Passenger (IROP/EU261) spend. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing high volumes of live sourcing activity, cutting through complexity, spotting cross-category synergies and applying commercially creative solutions to drive tangible cost outcomes. This is not a strategy-only or people-leadership role. It is for someone who enjoys doing the work: structuring RFPs, driving negotiations, landing contracts and unlocking value in operationally complex environments.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage multiple concurrent RFPs across the Lounges category, including new lounge openings, contract renewals, monopoly negotiations and alternative lounge solutions.
  • Own the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle: scope definition, supplier engagement, commercial evaluation, negotiation, contracting and handover.
  • Apply pace and discipline to deliver outcomes in time-critical, operationally sensitive environments.
  • Support and deliver sourcing activity linked to Disrupted Passenger / IROP spend, covering hotels, transport and related services.
  • Identify and execute cost avoidance, leakage reduction and efficiency opportunities linked to irregular operations and EU261 exposure.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Ops and Transformation teams to convert operational pain points into commercially viable sourcing solutions.
  • Go beyond unit-rate negotiations to drive value through supplier consolidation and aggregation, specification and service-model optimisation, bundled and cross-category sourcing opportunities, and commercial mechanisms aligned to utilisation and demand volatility.
  • Identify synergies across lounges, hotels and transport where similar suppliers, service models or governance structures can be leveraged.
  • Work directly with airline, airport and operations stakeholders to translate operational requirements into executable sourcing strategies.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers, including challenging discussions in constrained or monopoly markets.
  • Ensure sourcing decisions are pragmatic, defensible and operationally deliverable.

Skills, experience and qualifications

Essential

  • Strong background in procurement and strategic sourcing, with clear evidence of delivering outcomes through RFP-led processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to run multiple sourcing events simultaneously and maintain control, quality and pace.
  • Experience sourcing services-heavy, operational categories (lounges, hospitality, travel, facilities, transport or similar).
  • High commercial capability: negotiation, cost modelling, supplier evaluation and contract structuring.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where priorities shift.

Desirable

  • Experience linked to Disrupted Passenger, IROPs, crew hotels or transport sourcing.
  • Exposure to transformation-led procurement or complex operational change environments (aviation, travel, large-scale services).
  • Understanding of cost vs experience trade-offs in customer-facing services.
