- Act as subject matter expert on Dangerous Goods (DG) matters and provide strategic oversight of DG compliance across IAG Cargo operations, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulatory frameworks (including IATA, ICAO, and local authority requirements).
- Safety Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Lead the development and delivery of a global safety improvement roadmap with clear, measurable outcomes.

- Provide end‑to‑end oversight of the Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring it remains effective, scalable, and aligned to regulatory expectations.
- Strengthen risk‑based assurance, ensuring audit insights, investigations, and performance data are integrated to drive prioritised action.
- Deliver executive‑level reporting and dashboards, enhancing transparency and enabling informed decision‑making across the Safety Group and leadership forums.
- Act as a central point of accountability for safety standards, ensuring consistency, clarity, and applicability across the global operation.
- Business Integration & Influence
- Partner with operational, commercial, and functional teams to embed safety into business decision‑making, including infrastructure, transformation, and change initiatives.
- Lead Management of Change (MoC) from a safety perspective, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated before implementation.
