About the role

Join the team shaping the future network shape at IAG Cargo. As Network Change Executive, you’ll turn complex operational and commercial data into actionable insight, optimising our third-party capacity network. Working at the centre of our network strategy, you’ll influence key decisions directly influencing IAG Cargo performance. The role is responsible for leading the Network team’s performance reporting, using data to drive insight and actions across outsourced capacity, and at the same time account managing IAGC’s Freighters suppliers, ensuring performance, utilisation, cost control, and revenue targets are met through high‑quality data, automation, and strong stakeholder collaboration. It is a managerial ownership role, with business-wide exposure, focused on data, reporting, automation initiatives, and supplier management. Reporting into the Network Manager, the role is based at the IAG Cargo headquarters, London Heathrow.

What you’ll do

  • Own and drive the development and continuous improvement of outsourced capacity reporting suite linked to Transformation initiatives, particularly Trucking and Interline.
  • Support creation of trucking dashboard(s) to monitor utilisation, cost, revenue, and lane‑level performance, and provide the Network team with insights to right‑size schedules, remove low‑value lanes, and drive cost rationalisation opportunities.
  • Drive automation across all outsourced capacity dashboards (interline, freighter, trucking) in collaboration with Data & Analytics team.
  • Drive enhancement of interline dashboard and provide the Network team with insights to drive contribution improvements from interline partners.
  • Maintain and enhance reporting for CET while ensuring data simplification, integrity, insight generation and clear commercial storytelling, presenting to CET audience when required.
  • Support creation of business cases and detailed analytical inputs into Network shape decision making, Freighter programme reviews, Business Plan, Financial Plan, trucking tenders and negotiations of rates and contract with freighters and trucking suppliers.
  • Shape, manage and maintain DHL and QR freighter capacity to drive contribution to IAGC and maximise selling opportunities from commercial teams whilst decreasing cost.
  • Identify, analyse and exploit short term freighters opportunities to generate incremental value to IAGC while minimising costs.
  • Own day‑to‑day supplier ownership of DHL, and QR freighters, ensuring seasonal scheduling and planning tasks, cancellations, in‑season changes and schedule distribution and communication across the cargo business.
  • Act as single point for day‑to‑day business questions related to DHL and QR freighters, including queries on contract, scheduling, invoicing, performance.
  • Own the monthly invoicing process for DHL and QR freighters, ensuring accurate audit of invoices and close collaboration with Finance to resolve overcharging or billing disputes.
  • Work together with Integrated Planning team at ensuring cross‑team collaboration for tactical changes affecting freighters schedules.
  • Deliver internal and external (supplier) process improvement initiatives, to drive operational efficiency and service performance.
  • Represent IAG Cargo professionally with external partners and internal stakeholders, when required.

Essential Experience

  • Strong numerical acumen.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience delivering revenue, cost and performance results.
  • Experience in account ownership and supplier management.
  • Proven analytical capability with experience using data to influence decisions.

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility.
  • Fluent in using Excel and PowerPoint for storytelling to both peers and senior management.

Desirable Experience

  • Understanding of the airfreight business.
  • Experience in interline, freighter or multimodal logistics environments.
  • Previous experience in commercial functions desirable e.g. RevMan, Sales, Network Planning.
