About the role
- Plan and deliver transformational projects in alignment with internal controls, financial guidelines, and organisational priorities, ensuring high-quality delivery within scope, time, and budget.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities, using analysis and strong relationship-building skills to mitigate challenges and maximise success.
- Gather, analyse, and integrate proposals from multiple suppliers and stakeholders, providing well-informed recommendations that drive optimal solutions and meet project objectives.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans that clearly outline critical paths, risks, efficiencies, and opportunities for simplification or acceleration, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Maintain rigorous change management processes, facilitating trade-offs and adjustments as needed to balance project constraints and priorities.
- Collaborate on resource planning and allocation, working closely with resource owners to optimise the use of skills and capabilities across the organisation.
- Deliver clear and consistent communication to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment, transparency, and buy-in throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, holding parties accountable for performance and ensuring project milestones are met.
- Embed change into the organisation by creating and executing effective business change plans that minimise disruption and enhance adoption.
- Adhere to standardised project management principles, tools, and techniques, while contributing to continuous improvement in delivery methods and outcomes.
It's all about you
What you’ll bring to IAG Cargo:
- Proven project management and planning experience, demonstrated by a successful track record of managing change projects to cost, quality and time.
- Experience of planning and delivering business change activities at a project level.
- Experience of owning and driving effective identification and mitigation of risks, issues and dependencies on projects, with support from other colleagues.
- Solid stakeholder management skills, with a focus on immediate project-level colleagues, and with support to include senior management, operational staff, and external suppliers to achieve required outcomes.
- Experience of working within, or alongside, a Programme Management Office (PMO), support effective governance, planning and progress reporting.
- Exposure to and understanding of end-to-end business case development and approvals process for projects, in large, matrix-style organisations.
- Financially literate with understanding of core budget management principles; ability to apply on real-life projects and develop effective relationships with Finance and Reporting colleagues.
- A track record of effective knowledge management and learning at project level, to support continuous improvement.
- A developing understanding of how to manage external suppliers and end-to-end procurement processes.
- Experience of working in simple and more complex (e.g. hybrid) project teams of internal/contractor resources.
- Experience from the aviation and/or logistics sectors would be a bonus but is not essential; experience of working on complex IT projects and fast-paced, changeable environments with new technology/product highly desirable.
- Proficient in MS Office and comfort in using Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project to enable day-to-day project delivery requirements.
