At IAG Cargo, digital distribution is a critical pillar of our commercial strategy. As we transition to a fully integrated digital ecosystem, the Distribution Product Owner plays a vital role in turning commercial goals into platform functionality that drives results. You will lead the commercial input into platform development, resolving current limitations while enabling new revenue‑generating capabilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Backlog & Delivery Ownership: Own and manage the backlog for iagcargo.com and third‑party platforms, ensuring that each story has a clear commercial purpose. Partner with Digital Sales and the Distribution Product Manager to shape a backlog that supports self‑service growth and digital‑only market enablement. Prioritise features and fixes based on business impact — revenue generation, cost reduction, customer value or strategic alignment. Collaborate with our IT development teams to ensure delivery timelines align with commercial milestones. Lead sprint planning and backlog grooming sessions, keeping delivery focused and outcomes measurable.
  • Commercial Strategy Alignment: Translate strategic goals into prioritised product features and backlog decisions. Ensure product decisions are informed by customer insights, market research, and internal feedback loops. Shape capability improvement plans, contributing to digital performance reviews. Support the definition of business cases, customer use cases, and benefit tracking for key features.
  • Customer Experience & Issue Resolution: Monitor adoption metrics, issue resolution progress, and platform performance to guide prioritisation. Champion the usability and reliability of digital sales platforms from a customer point of view. Triage commercial platform issues and help drive resolution in partnership with IT and platform analyst teams. Provide support for UAT, business sign‑off, and post‑release performance monitoring.

  • Experience working with digital commerce, booking platforms, or B2B customer tools (preferably in logistics, travel, or e‑commerce).
  • Product thinking – Comfortable structuring epics/features/user stories based on business needs.
  • Agile delivery – Managing product delivery tools, writing user stories and managing a backlog.
  • Stakeholder engagement – Confident presenting product updates to senior and technical audiences.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and cross‑functional communication.
  • Analytical mindset – Able to performance trends, conversion data, and customer usage to inform decision‑making.
