Looking for a challenge in one of the world’s largest airfreight logistics organisations? At IAG Cargo we are in the business of moving things. From antibiotics to groundbreaking tech, gold bullion to avocados and everything in between. We move cargo that positively impacts society worldwide. Whatever people need, wherever they are. At IAG Cargo we open the skies and fly the world to bring people the things they really need.
About the role: This is a high-impact leadership grade transformation role within the Data & Analytics team, established on a temporary 6–9 month basis to help shape and deliver the next stage of the function’s evolution following the delivery of the Global Data Platform (GDP). The role will focus on turning new platform capability into measurable business value: strengthening senior stakeholder relationships, improving demand management and delivery focus, transforming business self-service analytics, and making the link between Data & Analytics activity and business benefit clearer and more consistent.
You will work across the Data & Analytics leadership team, business functions and enabling partners to define the strategic changes needed for the team to maximise GDP, while also assessing the longer-term capability transformation required to mature advanced analytics, machine learning and AI adoption across IAG Cargo. A key part of the role will be to help move the function from a predominantly request-led delivery model towards a more value-led, product-minded and business-outcome focused operating model.
What you’ll do:
- Maximise value from GDP: Lead the organisational and behavioural changes required to fully realise the benefits of our new Global Data Platform (GDP), embedding trusted data, analytics and reporting into business decision-making.
- Transform business analytics capability: Define and implement the strategy, operating model and governance required to increase business self-sufficiency, data literacy and adoption of analytical capabilities across IAG Cargo.
- Strengthen business partnership and stakeholder engagement: Establish a more strategic relationship with senior leaders, ensuring Data & Analytics priorities are aligned to business objectives, transformation programmes and measurable outcomes.
- Improve portfolio management and delivery effectiveness: Enhance demand management, prioritisation and governance processes to focus resources on the highest-value opportunities and improve delivery transparency, accountability and outcomes.
- Embed value-led performance management: Introduce frameworks that clearly connect Data & Analytics activity and investment to business benefits, enabling consistent measurement, reporting and value realisation.
- Define the future Data & Analytics capability strategy: Develop the roadmap, operating model and organisational recommendations required to scale business partnering, data products, advanced analytics, machine learning and AI capabilities over the next 3–5 years.
It's all about you: What you’ll bring to IAG Cargo: We're looking for an experienced transformation leader with a track record of delivering business change in complex organisations. You will be comfortable operating at senior leadership level, building trusted relationships with stakeholders and influencing decisions that drive measurable business outcomes.
You will combine strategic thinking with practical delivery, helping organisations maximise the value of technology and data investments through improved operating models, business adoption and effective change management. You will be equally comfortable shaping future direction and driving execution.
We're seeking someone who can bring clarity to complexity, challenge constructively and establish a strong focus on value, prioritisation and business outcomes. You'll be a confident communicator with the ability to translate complex concepts into compelling narratives, recommendations and action plans for senior leaders. Above all, you'll be a collaborative and pragmatic leader who can inspire change, build alignment across diverse stakeholders and leave behind sustainable improvements that continue to deliver value beyond the life of the programme.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience operating in complex, fast-moving organisations with multiple stakeholders, priorities and competing demands.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior leaders and driving alignment across functions.
- Good understanding of Data & Analytics, including data platforms, self-service analytics, AI and digital capabilities.
- Experience leading business, process and behavioural change, delivering sustainable adoption of new ways of working.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including benefits realisation, value measurement and investment prioritisation.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes and actions.
To apply, candidates must:
- Must have a numerate background with either relevant degree or professional experience.
- Must have the right to live and work full-time in the UK.
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check.
- Be able to work in a hybrid environment, including regular time at Carrus, LHR, and occasional travel where business needs require.
