About The Role

Business partner to regional management in the IAG Cargo Operations team, presenting key information and supporting creation and delivery of business cases and transformation initiatives. Ensure operational costs are accurately reported and tightly controlled.

What You’ll Do

  • Present complex information in an accessible and meaningful way to focus and drive improvements in financial performance.
  • Support with cost and revenue forecasting and reporting.
  • Support the wider IAG Cargo Operations teams to prepare and track Business Plans, Financial Plans (includes budgeting, planning and forecasting) and Local Targets using appropriate modelling techniques where required.
  • Control and decision support activities – Identify, influence and implement opportunities for cost reduction and/or revenue improvement through insightful monitoring and analysis of financial performance within the assigned business unit.
  • Control and management of transformation initiative activities, including insight and evaluation of performance, production of business cases which facilitates key investment decisions and robust tracking to ensure delivery of initiatives.
  • Actively build and maintain strong relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues at all levels across IAG Cargo, BA, Iberia and other group airlines.
  • Adhere to all corporate, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements via automation and standardisation and support or manage the implementation of any changes.
  • Provide information and support, where required, to internal and external Auditors.
  • Support the IAG Cargo Investments Approval Board process which trades off scarce investment resources via a business case analysis and control process.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for cost reduction and/or cost improvement.
  • Provide ad-hoc information, support and liaison where required.

Skills And Experience

  • Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA).
  • Good understanding of finance theory and good level of practical finance experience in management accounting.
  • Business awareness and operational acumen developed through the application of finance knowledge and experience.
  • Numerate and accurate.
  • Good IT skills and experience of finance systems including: Excel, Anaplan, SAP, Tableau, Word, PowerPoint and ThinkCell.
  • Proven track record of effective business partnering of operations facing roles in fast moving business.
